SMS Terms
Program
QPE Locator rain alerts, run by Geronimo Engineering. Text messages about the construction-site rain alerts you set up in the MQPE Locator: storm forecast alerts (a forecast Qualifying Precipitation Event), recorded-rain alerts (a measured event), and inspection-deadline reminders — plus the one-time code that confirms your number when you create your account, and sign-in codes when you choose to sign in by text.
How you opt in
You opt in to alert texts by adding your own mobile number to an alert — the number you confirmed on your account with the code we texted you — or, when someone else added your number to an alert, by tapping the confirmation link we text you. Nothing is sent to a number until it has been confirmed. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
How often
Recurring messages; frequency varies with the weather and the alerts you have — none in a dry week, several a day during a storm. Msg & data rates may apply.
Stop and help
Reply STOP to any message to cancel; you’ll get one message confirming it, and nothing after. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. You can also remove your number from an alert in the app.
Fine print
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Alerts support — and do not replace — the forecast monitoring and inspections your permit requires.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy.
